18TH CENTURY DIRECTOIRE MIRROR

This is a simple and classical 18th Century French mirror from the Directoire period, exemplified by the carved channels. Beautiful wear to the surface results in a soft, mottled interplay of aged gilt, red and yellow bole and gesso. Original mercury glass.
