SWEDISH TALL CASE CLOCK

This is an incredible 19th Century antique Swedish painted tall case clock that's beautifully proportioned with just the right amount of carved detail. An enlarged face of painted Roman numerals is surrounded by a molded bezel that is topped by a carved plume. The neck has carved scroll work and is punctuated by a single star. The shapely body and large blown-glass opening at the belly sits upon a carved swag anchored by rosettes. Molded base. The finish is scraped to a translucent layer of original gray paint with later yellow trim. Comes with clockworks.
