GUSTAVIAN SEAT

This rare upholstered bench has nice proportions, finely carved detail, and a soft, worn paint finish. Its square sides are defined by a frieze of leaf-tip carving and pierced fretwork with a rosette in the center. More leaf tips line the front and sides of the bench, which sits on curved square tapering legs. Peg construction. Original blue-gray paint.
